Sadie M. Fields, formerly of Canton, Mississippi, died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, July 30, 2004 at 7:30 a.m. She was 921/2 years old. Loving mother of two daughters, Dorothy Woods (Robert) of Chicago, Illinois and Ida Daughtrey (Jerome) of Norwalk, California; she had eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 32 greatgreat grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Leak and Sons Funeral Home, 7838 S. Cottage Grove Ave., Chicago, Illinois.
