David Alan Shore, 66, Railroad Consultant. Beloved son of the late Philip and Rose Shore (Shapiro); loving brother to Warren Shore; devoted uncle to Harper Marten (Shore); loving nephew to Harry Shapiro and Evie Shapiro (Krassen), the late Louis and Frances Shapiro, the late Sam and Ann Shapiro and cherished friend to scores, both here and abroad. After his education at the University of Illinois and tour of duty with the U.S. Army, Mr. Shore spent his working life as a consultant to the railroad industry, serving in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Mr. Shore was a 48-year member and past president of the Illinois Railway Museum (Union, Ill). A memorial will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the Illinois Railway Museum (815-923-4391 x 404). A memorial donation to the Museum’s Cornwall 14 Fund or Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
