Columnist Kathleen Parker suggests in her Aug. 4 column that the American public doesn’t believe the latest terrorist threats because we don’t trust anything that comes out of the White House.
Forget that the intelligence information the administration is citing is years old (Parker didn’t mention that), forget that the timing of releasing years-old information is suspicious, and forget that the weapons of mass destruction have yet to be found in Iraq, despite the intelligence repeatedly cited.
I want nothing more than to trust and believe my president.
But you have to earn my trust not scare me into believing.
