J. Patrick Rafferty, 69, of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. Born on June 18, 1935 in Kenosha, WI. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Political Science in 1960. He moved to Chicago in 1962. He was employed by the Bond Buyer in Chicago, IL as a Sales Manager until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Wilmette, Illinois. He is survived by his son, Michael Rafferty of Vail, CO, three daughters, Susan (Brian) Doyle of Denver, CO, Katie Rafferty of Denver, CO, Carolyn (David) Miller of Alamogordo, NM; two brothers, William R. (Audrey) Rafferty of Kenosha, WI, Dr. Hugh P. (Mary) Rafferty of Franklin, WI, three sisters, Helen Olson of Kenosha, WI, Ruth Snyder of Milwaukee, WI, Rita Bistrick of Kenosha, WI; and two grandchildren, Austin and Alex Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 16 from St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 7117-14th Avenue, Kenosha at 12 noon. Interment will be private at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home, 5111-60th Street, Kenosha. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pediatric Cancer Fund, 2300Childrens Plaza, Box #4, Chicago, IL 60614 would be appreciated by the family.
