Kate Thomas, beloved wife of Bob; loving mother of Christopher, Kyle and Colin, was taken August 11, after a year long illiness; Kate was the devoted daughter of Bill and the late Penny Powers; as well as the daughter-in-law of Don and Lois Thomas; loving sister of Brian Powers, Mark Powers and Susan Jannusch. A gathering of family and friends will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m Friday, August 13, at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Ave., Lake Forest.
