William Blaney Whiting, 84, of Inverness, IL and Boynton Beach, FL, was the beloved husband for 56 years of Natalie, nee Hogeland; father of Anne (Russ) Suszko of Inverness, IL, Stephen (Gwen) Whiting of Marietta, GA, Sue Whiting of Dallas, TX, and Kim Whiting of Ankeny, IA; grandfather of Katie, Grant, Brianne and Jasmine and Michael; brother of Marion (Frank) Brandon of West Chester, PA, Richard (Emma) Whiting of Berwyn, PA and JoAnne (Dexter) Lenci of Fairfield, CT. Born Jan. 11, 1920, he passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004. Bill was a loving husband, father, and friend and his greatest love was his family. Bill graduated from Weslyan University in 1940 and Harvard graduate business school in 1942. He served in WWII as a Lieutenant in the Navy and had a successful 37-year career with Container Corporation of America. The family lived many years in Wayne, PA before moving to Illinois. Services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 South Brinker Road, Barrington, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation of Northeastern Illinois or the charity of your choice.
