Augustine “Gus” Sperando, WWII veteran wounded at the Battle of the Bulge, of Carol Stream, formerly of Melrose Park. Beloved husband of Olga, nee Marinos; loving father of Dennis and stepfather of Anna (Tim) Pudlo; dear grandfather of Shannon and Tarah Sperando and Alexis and Christina Pudlo; cherished son of the late Frances and Sam Sperando; dear brother of Angelo (Lee), Josephine (the late Tom) Markello and the late Michael (Ann), James, Frances (Frank) Yorcis, Rose (Bud) Jones, Joseph, Jenny (Jim) Garland and Mary (Ray) Lesus; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired from International Harvester after 30 years. Gus loved fishing and gardening and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
