Leonard E. Frank, age 81, passed away August 24, 2004, P.O.W. WWII Battle Of The Bulge. Beloved husband of Verna, nee Kolpin; loving father of Darlene (Rodger) Caruthers and Shirley (Richard) Pine; dearest brother of the late Edward Beyer and Violet Wurm; wonderful grandpa of Elena, David Caruthers and Erin, Alyson, Michelle Pines. Visitation Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, IL. Leonard will lie in State on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 855 Lee Street, Des Plaines. Interment St. John’s Cemetery, Mt. Prospect.
