In regard to Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s plan to increase tolls for vehicles without I-PASS units, my feeling is that this plan is unfair to lower-income commuters.

If a commuter is unable to afford the $50 payment for an I-PASS unit, is it reasonable to think that she or he can afford to pay twice as much in tolls to commute to and from work?

Blagojevich needs to rethink the costs and benefits of this plan.
