Joining Brian Urlacher on the Bears’ injured list Saturday was tight end Desmond Clark, who has a sprained ankle.

Like Urlacher, Clark is questionable for Sunday’s game at Minnesota. If Urlacher and Clark cannot start, it would mean the Bears will start six players against the Vikings who did not start last week against Green Bay because of injuries.

Brunell set to go

After watching Mark Brunell go through a full practice Saturday, Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs named him the starting quarterback for Monday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

“Mark took two-thirds of the work and looked good,” Gibbs said.

Brunell left last week’s 20-14 loss to the New York Giants in the third quarter after injuring his hamstring on a rollout pass.

– Middle linebacker Mike Barrow could make his Redskins debut Monday. He has been out since early August with a partly torn knee tendon.

Extra points

Cornerbacks Mike McKenzie and Ahmad Carroll were downgraded Saturday and missed Green Bay’s trip to Indianapolis. McKenzie had been listed as probable after a hamstring tightened on him Thursday. Carroll had been questionable with a strained groin. … New York Giants safety Shaun Williams will have surgery on his left knee Monday to repair damaged cartilage. Williams hurt the knee making an interception at practice Friday. It was not immediately known how long he might be sidelined.
