We pay a bunch of not terribly bright guys millions to let us watch them play a child’s game. So we just might expect Sammy Sosa to consider his made for TV hip-hop more important than running hard and winning a ballgame.

Perhaps it’s inevitable that such overpaid people believe they’re too important to be criticized by a guy like Steve Stone. These folks expect everyone to kiss their, um, feet, not point out their failures.

We get what we pay for and sometimes it’s not pretty.
