Bruce C. Mueller, 85, formerly of Chicago, died Nov. 25. Born Feb. 23, 1919 to Alfred and Mary, nee Siegler, Mueller in New Ulm, MN. Graduated from high school in New Ulm, completed his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN and graduated from DePaul University Law School in 1947. Served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel with the U.S. Air Force. On May 22, 1954 he was married to Athalie Ann Van Vonderen in Coleman, WI. Bruce was an attorney specializing in workers compensation in Chicago. He was admitted to the Bar in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and the U.S. Supreme Court. He was an avid golfer and Bears fan. Survived by Athalie Ann Mueller; children, Mark Mueller, William (Hayley Haberman) Mueller and Lisa (Steven Merchant) Mueller; grandchildren, Dylan, Eli and Maya; sister, Helen Jane LaBine. Preceded in death by son, Todd Mueller; sisters, Mary Ehlke and Mildred Mueller. Funeral Services were Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. at the English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, WI. Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Interment in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Memorials to Martin Luther College Scholarship Fund, Presidents Office, 1995 Luther Court, New Ulm, MN 56073.
