I have become one of the unfortunate lemmings who has purchased and activated my I-PASS. This was a purchase I was contemplating for a while but our governor has forced my hand. What was once a good alternative to the congestion of the pay tolls has now become the commonplace among Illinois tollway drivers. Again it is our fiscally irresponsible elected officials who have bestowed the “privilege” of paying down their debt 50 cents at a time.
The time needs to come for us as Illinoisans and Americans to realize that government as usual has gotten us hip deep in debt with no real plan to correct that. Oh I’m sorry, they have a plan: have all of us pay for it.
