Tropicana exec talks about brands
Greg Shearson, president of Tropicana Beverages North America, will address the Young Professionals of Chicago Wednesday at the Mid-Day Club, 21 S. Clark St., 56th floor.
Shearson, who is head of the largest branded juice business in North America, with more than $3 billion in revenue, will discuss aspects of creating and maintaining strong brands. He will also offer advice on managing a career and honing leadership skills.
As president, Shearson has been responsible for integrating all of PepsiCo’s North American juice businesses, which include Tropicana Twister, Smoothies, Pure Premium, Pure Tropics and Dole, into one operating unit. Prior to joining Tropicana, Shearson was vice president of marketing and research and development at Sara Lee Bakery. He also spent 10 years in marketing at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati.
The event begins with breakfast and networking from 7 to 7:30 a.m. It continues with the presentation and question-and-answer session from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
