Steven M. Yamashita, 57, of VanCouver, WA, formerly of Chicago, died Friday, Jan. 28. Edured a long battle of Heart Disease and Diabetes. Steven is survived by his father, Teruo Yamashita; newlywed wife, Lila; father of Alexander (Chris) Yamashita, and Brianna Yamashita; brother of Tommy (Mary Ellen) Yamashita; uncle of Sheri (Jerry) Van Gelderen and Kim (David) Shallcross; stepgrandfather of Arianna; he is preceded in death by his mother Terry and his sister Jannette. A celebration of life will be held in VanCouver, WA.
