William R. Crown, born April 27, 1915, died at Mercy Hospital Jan. 29, 2005. Son of Gordon W. and Violet Crown; he survived by his loving wife Bessie; his son Jerry; his brother Tom (Donna); and stepson Charles (Josephine) Dumas. He was last employed, as an engineer at Illinois Tool Works. He was admired for his engineering and mathematical skills and his love of music. Private memorial services will be held at St. Ambroise Catholic Church, 47th and Ellis Ave., on Monday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m.
