A divorced parent, he was living in Rolling Meadows when he met Dorothy Johnson. “He was a good, decent person and we had in common that we each had three children,” she said. They married in 1961. Mr. Seeling was an avid reader who spent several years on the Rolling Meadows Library Board. Survivors also include his son, Michael; two daughters, Patricia Lafferty and Suzanne; a stepson, Michael Palmer; two stepdaughters, Catherine and Judith Palmer; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
