Three people were in custody in Cook County Thursday and a fourth was awaiting extradition from Minnesota after a 24-year-old man was badly beaten and his car was stolen at a Skokie hotel, authorities said.
Joseph Calhoun, 20, and Michelle Carson, 25, both of Skokie, have been charged with aggravated battery, theft and robbery in connection with the Feb. 16 attack at the Comfort Inn at 9333 Skokie Blvd., according to court records.
Kimberly Schaldach, 17, of Wilmette also was charged with aggravated battery, theft and robbery.
The four lured the victim to the hotel, then beat him on the head with a bottle, court records say. The victim needed more than 40 stitches.
They allegedly took the victim’s 1993 Cadillac, cell phone and wallet and fled to Minnesota, where they were arrested by Forest Lake police on Feb. 17.
All three are being held in the Cook County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail each.
