Many talk about how high gasoline prices are. But many cars 25 years ago only got eight miles per gallon and cars rarely lasted 50,000 miles, let alone 100,000 miles. Now a car with a lot more reliability and features I could never imagine gets 16 miles per gallon in the city at a minimum and will last me well over 100,000 miles. Consider the overall inflation rate and the increase in wages and, you know what, gasoline prices today are cheap and the cost of a car is a bargain.
