Hundreds of avalanches fell across Austria over the weekend, and three people were killed Sunday.

An avalanche on the Grossglockner–Austria’s highest mountain–swept away two Hungarian backcountry skiers. One was rescued, while the other was found dead, the Austria Press Agency reported.

A 48-year-old German skier was found dead after he was swept away in Salzburg province, police said. And Czech man was killed in a separate slide in the province.
