Two Chicago men were arrested Tuesday on charges of selling thousands of counterfeit designer handbags, wallets and accessories.
The investigation began after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent saw a large number of suspected counterfeit handbags being sold at a trade show at Navy Pier, authorities said.
Last month, agents executed search warrants at four locations around Chicago and seized about 9,500 counterfeit Gucci, Coach, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Prada goods, authorities said.
Boubacar Fall, 40, and Ousman Busso, 44, who both operated the business Mammadoe Gal, were arrested, authorities said.
