So maybe columnist John Kass is right (“`Rage’ doesn’t begin to cover Zion slayings,” News, May 12). We shouldn’t use words like “rage” to explain what happened to Laura Hobbs and Krystal Tobias.

Kass says words like these are merely excuses. So let’s not try to “diagnose the unspeakable,” or look for the conditions that trigger rage. Let’s just call it “evil” and then we can wrap it up and put it all away.
