Don’t invite Max Kellerman and Roy Jones Jr. to the same party anytime soon. Kellerman, working on HBO’s recent coverage of the Bernard Hopkins-Jermain Taylor fight, was asked about Hopkins’ plan to take two more fights after Taylor, including a grand finale with Jones. Kellerman was skeptical, opining that Jones is “damaged goods.” At ringside wearing a headset, Jones heard those words and was not happy. Kellerman learned Jones was angry and after the fight sought him out. A witness told the New York Daily News that Jones, upset over the remarks as well as having watched a potentially huge payday go down the drain when Hopkins lost, told Kellerman: “I don’t want to [talk] because I don’t want to go to jail.”
