Forget Harry Potter, people. Two upcoming books–one from a housewife, the other from a guy who was shot nine times–might be more fascinating than fiction.

Excerpts of 50 Cent’s “From Pieces to Weight: Once Upon a Time in Southside Queens” are available online. Fitty’s memoir comes out Tuesday.

“This is my mindset and these are the things that go on,” reads an excerpt on amazon.com. “This is why I say the rhymes that I say. This is what happened when I was trying to get rich before I died in Southside Queens.”

Meanwhile, “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher serves up life lessons in “Burnt Toast,” a book of advice to be published next spring.

“I have had many women approach me, sharing their own stories, and ask me how it feels to have a second chance at 40,” Hatcher said in a statement. “With this book, I truly hope to reach everyone that I don’t bump into on the street and share my story.”

Thanks, Teri.
