The July 28 letter to the editor about Lyme disease prompted me to write in. The author recommended to flush the tick down the toilet if you had been in contact, but instead you should save the tick in a bag or some other container and bring it to the doctor with you so tests can be run to determine if indeed that tick is a Lyme-disease carrier.
