– Universal and 20th Century Fox studios have reached a deal to bring to life Master Chief–star of the Halo video game franchise owned by Microsoft–sometime in 2007, Variety reported. Alex Garland, writer of the film “28 Days Later,” was paid $1 million by Microsoft to pen a script.
– Bruce Willis will star opposite Halle Berry in the thriller “Perfect Stranger,” directed by James Foley. Berry plays a woman who goes undercover to investigate a friend’s murder. Willis will play one of her chief suspects.
– Don Ho, 75, was released Monday from a hospital in Honolulu, three days after he was admitted with shortness of breath, his spokeswoman said.
– Alternative Spanish singer-songwriter Bebe led the pack Tuesday with five Latin Grammy nominations, followed by Marc Anthony, Juanes, Aleks Syntek and Obie Bermudez, who received three each.
