Here’s a little irony. Currently it’s OK to smoke at Chicago restaurants–but soon you may not be able to eat foie gras at Chicago restaurants. Ergo, the lives of a relatively small number of farm animals, raised under strict government oversight and humanely slaughtered, are more important to a relatively small number of aldermen than the respiratory health and lives of those working and eating at Chicago restaurants.
