Visitation 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Manlius. Born September 19, 1913 in New Bedford, Manlius, parents Gustav (Amanda Jensen) Lubbs; married to Eugene Boege, September 23, 1939 in New Bedford, IL, he died January 31, 1999; also surviving daughter, Dorthy Ellinger of North Aurora, IL; stepdaughter, Kathleen Borker of Hereford, AZ; sister, Berniece Johnston of Mesa, AZ; step-sister, Marquerite Clary of Geneseo, IL; step-brother of Norman Lubbs of Sterling, IL; six Grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in Death by parents, son Melvyn Boege, brother Arnold Lubbs, sister Arlene Dir, stepsisters Gladys Whipple and Verla Piper. Educated at Grad Northern Illinois University with a Teacher’s Certificate. Had a Teacher’s Certificate but never got a chance to utilize it; became a dedicated Homemaker. Member of First Christian Church of Princeton and First Christian Church of Maywood. Member of Royal Neighbors. Memorials may be made to Diabetes Foundation.
