Renee Zellweger surprised some New York Post staff members by paying a visit to the newspaper Wednesday.
The Post said she came to complain about a recent story that said she was planning to visit singer Damien Rice, who was described as “her new beau,” in Ireland.
Page Six reports that they got a call in the morning from a woman who said, “This is Renee Zellweger. I’m in the lobby, and I wonder if you could come down because I want to talk to you.”
Moments later, a Post staff member met up with the recently divorced actress, who was dressed in shorts and sneakers and was without makeup.
“I just wanted to tell you that story was hurtful about me being with another man,” Zellweger said. “It wasn’t true, and it made me look slutty.”
