Barbara A. Byrne, a 50 year old Grayslake resident, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 9, 2005 at Lake Forest Hospital. She was born in Chicago to John and Agnes Bartolac, nee Latelle, on July 8, 1955. Barbara was a past president of the Illinois Paralegal Association, as well as a graduate of Loyola University. She was also a devout animal lover. Beloved wife of eight years to John Byrne, whom she wed at St. Francis Borgia in Chicago on June 20, 1998; loving “smom” of Joshua, Kristen and Meghan; sister of Larry (Treva) Bartolo of Columbus, OH and Donna (Michael) Elendis of Elk Grove Village. Her brother, John Bartolac preceded her in death. Friends of the family may visit on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. A brief visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, reconvening at the Cemetery Chapel at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
