Elsie E. Jansky, died at The British Home in Brookfield, IL, after a long illness. She was 86, born in Cicero on the 18th of February in 1919. Elsie is survived by her brother, William (Dorothy) Jansky; a niece, Judith (Wayne) Hrabak; a nephew, Johnathan (Debbie) Jansky and seven grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late John and Whilhelmina, nee Janak. Elsie was a member of the Warren Park Presbyterian Church in Cicero and active in the Berwyn Civic League and the Berwyn-Cicero Senior Citizens Club. She worked as a financial secretary for the Palmer House in downtown Chicago and also for Gallegher & Speck Construction Engineers. She enjoyed the acting profession and was in several theatre groups during her earlier years. Elsie resided at The Woodlands Retirement Home for the last four years, which is associated with The British Home. Funeral Services will be held at The H. Marik Sons Funeral Home of Berwyn, 6507 W. Cermak Rd., on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
