Irwin M. Bloomfield, age 90, husband of the late Ruth, nee Okner, and the late Fannie, nee HoffmanMillman, with subsequent marriages to the late Ruth Peckler and the late Ruth Keith; beloved and honored father of Evie (the late Myron) Nopar, the late Merle Rosen Lee, Richard (Robin) Millman, Elizabeth Silverstein and Judith (Louis) Robinson; grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 17; brother of the late M.B. Paul and the late Henry (Beatrice) Bloomfield. Co-founder, with his brother, Henry, of Van Gogh Studios, Ltd. Past President of the Chicago Contract Bridge League and a Life Master in bridge. An avid sailor, he regularly participated in the “Chicago-to-Mackinac” race and taught navigation classes for the Chicago Power Squadron. A resident of Chicago for 85 years, and a 1933 graduate of Nicholas Senn High School. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Lincolnwood Manor assisted living facility for their loving care during his last year of life. Private services have been held.
