Possibly the best thing former Sen. Peter Fitzgerald ever did for Illinois and the country was to get Patrick Fitzgerald appointed U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. His hard work continues to benefit the citizens of Illinois, and his work as special prosecutor in Washington similarly benefits this country. Thank you to both men.
