A South Side man suspected of being a serial rapist was ordered held without bail Wednesday.

Prince J. Richard, 21, of the 7900 block of South Ellis Avenue, has been linked to three attacks through DNA or by an alleged victim identifying him, police said. Assistant State’s Atty. Nancy Wilder told Cook County Criminal Court Judge Laura Sullivan that he is suspected in as many as 11 other attacks.

Richard is charged with three counts of home invasion, one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault, one count of attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated battery.

He was arrested last month as he fled the home of a 76-year-old woman in the 7900 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police said. He is to return to court Dec. 22.
