John C. Kliefoth, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2005, at Alton Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born on November 19, 1924, in Harvey, IL, son of the late Paul F. and Olive (Wiltenburg) Kliefoth. John was employed at M. H. Detick Co. in Chicago, IL as the president of one of their subsidiaries for 42 years, retiring in 1985. He was married to Phyllis (Hansen) on May 15, 1946 in Springfield, MO. She survives. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Mokena, IL, with Pastor Tom Zoelzer officiating.
