Thomas E. Shoop, age 76, born December 30, 1928, in Chicago, IL, passed away November 30, in Tucson, AZ. Tom was the owner of Standard Material Company in Maywood, IL, and resided in Western Springs, IL, for 20 years. After he retired in 1985, he and his wife, Cathy, enjoyed traveling for several years, and in 1991 moved to Tucson. He was a past president of several organizations including: Chicago Roofing Contractors Association, Village Club of Western Springs, and Iowa Wesleyan College Chicago Alumnae Club. Beloved husband of 53 years to Cathy; loving father of daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Ron Christoph, and late son, Ted; cherished “Opa” of granddaughter, Emma; dearest brother of sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabel and Wade Robinson, and the late Shirley and Barney Keehnast; fond uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Memorial service: Saturday, January 14, 11 a.m., at Casas Adobes Congregational Church, Tucson, AZ.
