Fumes from a fire and a carbon monoxide leak at a Roscoe Village thrift store sent 10 Chicago firefighters to area hospitals Sunday night, officials said.

The firefighters, who suffered inhalation injuries, were sent to four local hospitals, said Josh Dennis, a Fire Department spokesman. Their conditions were unknown Monday morning, but Dennis said none of the firefighters were critically injured.

The fire started around 10 p.m. at Village Discount Outlet, 2043 W. Roscoe St., Dennis said. There was also a carbon monoxide leak, but Dennis said he did not know if the fire caused it.

A nursing supervisor at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center said the hospital had received three victims.

No employees were injured, Dennis said. The fire was extinguished about 11:30 p.m.
