Robert Vondran, born February 28, 1921, in Chicago. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Many nephews and nieces. Served in World War II in the 101st Airborne Division, fought in the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge, wounded in Holland, received Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Worked for 33 years at Sylvestri Art Manufacturing and was responsible for the animated Christmas displays for Chicago department stores for many years. Visitation Friday, 8:30 a.m. to time of service 9:30 a.m., at Kraeer Funeral Home, Boca Raton, FL.
