Jack Williams, M.D., Veteran of WWII, age 91, devoted husband of Wilma, nee Strader, for over 65 years; loving father of Steven and David (Judi); dear grandfather of three; great-grandfather of nine; and greatgreat-grandfather of one. Dr. Williams has been at Lincoln Park Hospital (formerly Grant Hospital) since 1942, when he began a full-time internship. He left to serve as a flight surgeon in WWII. When he returned to Grant, he started his residency in internal medicine. Throughout his professional life, he remained a loyal resident of Grant Hospital and was elected president of the Medical Staff, and as chairman of the Dept. of Medicine. The Skilled Nurses’ Unit of the hospital is dedicated to Dr. Williams, his wife and family, and his patients. Dr. Williams was a council member of the North Side Branch of the Chicago Medical Society for many years. Funeral Services and interment will be private.
