Austin Pendleton will star in the world premiere of “Sunset Limited,” a new play by Cormac McCarthy in Steppenwolf’s Merle Reskin Garage Theatre this spring. McCarthy is probably best known for penning “All the Pretty Horses,” published in 1992. The new play, which Steppenwolf announced Tuesday, is a two-character affair that takes place after one man saves the life of another on a New York City subway platform. Neither the other actor nor the director have been announced. The play replaces an untitled Tina Landau project and begins performances on May 18.
