Disney’s at it again, with another animated flick featuring animals, crazy city folk and a sure-to-be-fabulous rescue. “The Wild” isn’t in theaters until April 14, but the trailer is at disney.go.com/disneymotion. Comedian Eddie Izzard is the best as the voice of a koala. Other stars include Kiefer Sutherland and Jimmy Kimmel.

Three short stories exploring the experience of growing up in Pilsen will take the stage at 7:30 tonight at Lookingglass Theatre, 821 N. Michigan Ave. Stuart Dybek’s critically acclaimed works, “The Coast of Chicago,” were adapted for the stage by Laura Eason. Northwestern professor Dwight McBride will read from his essays, “Why I Hate Abercrombie & Fitch,” at 7:30 tonight at Left of Center Bookstore (1043 W. Granville Ave.). But don’t expect him to talk shop. His topics span everything from race and sexuality to the role of African-Americans in higher education and marketing.
