I thoroughly agree with Alan Dershowitz in his Commentary piece.
The hiring of outside lawyers to ask questions of a Supreme Court nominee does not violate the advise-and-consent rule for the Senate, the only body that has the right to vote on the issue, and it makes the politics of it all less abrasive.
