Albert Rompza had 21 pts and Jarrett Williams scored 19 for Young (13-8, 8-1). “Coach [Tyrone Slaughter] has benched me for defensive reasons, but now my defense has improved, and now I do whatever it takes to achieve team goals, including rebounding and defense,” Williams said. “As a byproduct, my offense has also improved since coming off the bench.” Marquis Johnson had 15 pts for Westinghouse (13-9, 7-2).
