Eleanor T. Gawron, an 88-year-old Round Lake Beach resident, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Winchester House in Libertyville. She was born in Chicago on October 24, 1918, to John and Mary Eisinger. Eleanor loved to crochet, and was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake. Surviving are her children Bill (Bernadine) Gawron of Wildwood, Ken (Joanne) Gawron of Plainfield, Karen (Chuck) May of Peoria and Diane (Jim) Harper of McHenry; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings Ray (Delores) Eisinger, Marilyn (Roland) Brandt, and Betty Hammerl; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Michael Gawron, and aformentioned parents precede her in death. Friends of the family may visit on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. A Funeral Mass will commence at 12:30 p.m. at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
