Harry J. Schmidt, age 79, C.F.D. retired, 24th Battalion Chief, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, husband of the late Antoinette, nee Nitti; father of Donna Mc Guire, Doreen (Gary) Lathrop, Diane Schmidt and Dana (Michael) Murphy; grandfather of Nick Di Benedetto, Kellie Mc Guire, Kari, Krista and Kyle Lathrop; brother of Lucille Toczyl, Darlene Castro, Elaine Bass and Lillian Martin; dear friend of Char Trama; devoted uncle, fellow firefighter and Cubs fan.
