Catherine C. Van Antwerp, 79, of Crete, passed away June 13 at South Suburban Hospital. Born Oct. 13, 1926 in Chicago. Daughter of the late Edward and Mary Van Antwerp; sister of Mary (late Edward) Miskell, Theresa (Jack) McClean and the late John (late Betty) Van Antwerp; aunt of Michael Miskell, Susan Michaels, Kathleen Gasser, Joseph Miskell, Mary Kay Campbell, John Van Antwerp, Tommy Van Antwerp, Billy Van Antwerp, late Bobby Van Antwerp, Jimmy Van Antwerp, Mary Eileen Pierce, Katie Morris, Jackie Fleming, Laura Morrison and Molly Cook; godmother of the late Joe Gasser; and lifelong friend of Theresa Ladas. Prior to retirement Catherine worked as an office clerk with Illinois Bell Telephone. Visitation Friday, June 16 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main St. (Dixie Hwy.) Crete, IL 60417.
