For once, a celebrity and the paparazzi are in the news for exchanging not heated words–but gifts.
A group of paparazzi camped outside Nicole Kidman’s home in Sydney extended birthday wishes Tuesday by singing “Happy Birthday” over her intercom and sending in flowers.
The actress responded with bottled water and beer for all, according to local media.
Kidman said she was embarrassed by the attention but acknowledged the reporters and photographers with the drinks and a note saying: “Enjoy! Nicole and Keith.”
Kidman, who is in Australia for her wedding to Keith Urban, said she planned to spend her 39th birthday Tuesday by having “dinner at home with mum–boring,” The Associated Press reported. Urban is staying elsewhere in preparation for the weekend wedding, and Kidman’s two kids with ex Tom Cruise are expected to arrive Down Under later this week.
