Peter S. Ward, age 86, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2006. He is survived by six children, Patricia (Ken) Buvala of Phoenix, AZ, James Peter (Colleen) of New Lenox, Margaret Mary (James) Pokin of Downers Grove, Mary Beth (Bill) Taggart of Dayton, OH, Raymond Joseph (April) of Hammond, IN and William Gerard of Hammond; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian, son David Michael, sister Loretta and brother Daniel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing to Our Lady of Knock Church, 501 163rd St., Calumet City for Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. Mr. Ward was a Coast Guard Veteran of WWII. He was retired after 18 years of service with Allis-Chalmers. Info: 708-474-0024
