James B. Schultz, 85, of Deerfield and Lake Barrington Shores passed away July 2. He was the son of Calvin and Agnes Schultz of Danville, Illinois. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Navy as a patrol plane pilot. After the war, he worked for Illinois Bell Telephone for 36 years and retired in 1982. He was a great father to his children, Jim, Bill, Margaret, nee Lindquist, and Bob while volunteering as scoutmaster, little league coach, and high school athletic fan. He was a caring grandfather to Mike Schultz, Bob, Tim and Katie Lindquist, who will remember him for the love he showered on them. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Katheryn, and his son, Bill. In keeping with his wishes, private services were held at the North Northfield Cemetery, Northbrook. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society.
