I LOVE
… listening to classical music every Tuesday at Rush Hour Concerts at St. James Cathedral [65 E. Huron St.]. The free 30-minute concerts start at 5:45 p.m. so I can stop by on my way home from work, and they even serve free drinks and snacks beforehand!
–Jason McCabe, Chicago
… the to-die-for eggplant parmigiano at Tufano’s [Vernon Park Tap, 1073 W. Vernon Park Place] restaurant.
–Michael Polelle, Chicago
… the friendly cashiers at Treasure Island.
–Cindy Gray, Chicago
I HATE
… pedestrians on cellphones who are so into their conversations that they don’t see the dangers of oncoming vehicle traffic.
–Paul Lockwood, Woodstock
… sun-bright “exit” signs in modern movie theaters. A blaring white light in your peripheral vision does not improve the theater-going experience.
–Rob Elder, reporter
… the self check-out at the Jewel.
–Cindy Gray, Chicago
